Hey Vay it worked!

Thanks to Vaylene's help now my readers no longer have to stare at the same background month after month and wonder why I don't change it. Well the truth is I just learned how to do it. I am not incredibly computer savvy when it comes to this blogging thing so I call Vay whenever I mess my blog up. Every time my background on my blog changed it was because I had her hack into my blog to change it. I also have had her fix my blog when things go haywire. So if anyone has any computer problems her number is ...... (well I better not get on her bad side-she knows my password) whenever I have computer problems she always saves the day! Thanks Vay

Hey does anyone know how to change the Title color? Orange just isn't working with the Valentine theme!

Embarrassing!

So yesterday at church I had an embarrassing moment. It was sacrament meeting and as usual I was out in the foyer with Aiden because he was rambunctious and wouldn't stay by us. The quicker he could get away from me the funnier it was. So I took him out in the foyer and a few moments later Matt brought Jake out too. Usually when Jake is bad I find an empty room put him in a corner for "time out." Then Matt plops down on the couch and Jake starts playing with the shovels and rock salt that are near the door. So I am taking the shovels away from Jake when Aiden bee lines it through the sacrament room. He runs all the way across and out the other door so I have no choice but to chase him. Once I am accost to the other side Jake sees me and yells "TERESA" at the top of his lungs. (That was Matts cue to grab him). But no, he then runs across to me. Of course every one thought it was funny. Many people have told us that our kids make sacrament very entertaining. So the next 20 minutes were spent in the nursery trying to kill time. On our way back to the meeting I see that Matt is passed out asleep on the couch. So I took the kids back to our seats and did the single mom with two kids thing. It was a crazy day and I totally didn't get ANYTHING from that meeting. I guess Matt didn't ether because he was asleep!

Jakes First Day Sking

Sometimes when I go skiing I see 3 year old kids trying to ski and I am just blown away that they are trying to ski. I think that it is so cute. Well this was Jakes first change to WOW everyone. Matt had a free pass to the Canyons and decided to take Jake. It ended up being just $10 bucks to rent Jakes ski equipment. Matt wanted to take Jake just to see how he liked it. I thought either two things would happen: he would LOVE it or say "I want to go bye bye." He ended up saying "I want more." He also had a hard time with waiting in line for the chair. He would through a mini tantrum and say "I want more." I guess more skiing, who knows. When they were on the chair lift he would see people wreak and he would say "ugh oh" and when he would ski with Matt he kept saying "wee." Matt skied with him by holding underneath his arms and had Jake between his skies. The original plan was to take him on 2-3 runs but he ended up staying the entire day. By the end of the day he fell asleep on the gondola. I am so glad that he had fun with his dad.
I have decided to get Jake tested on his speech just becuase I am a perinoid mom. I feel like he isn't learning new words as fast as he should. It doesn't help that I watch 2 other little boys in my daycare that are actually younger than him that are way more vocal than he is. People have told me that he is just fine, I just want to be sure. Jake understands everything that I say, but when it comes to repeating words he just says "da". Da this da that. He really isn't trying very hard. He is just really slow when it comes to talking which makes it really hard on Mom and Dad because he is almost 3 and it is still like we are trying to communicate with a 2 year old. For example
"Shoe shoe shar": car, truck, tractor
"Shoes": this is for shoes and juice, sounds exactly the same
'Teresa": Mom and Dad, he doesn't call us mamma or dada he calls us both Teresa
Diddy: cat
Bobo: dog
Neigh Neigh: Aiden
So we are really frusterated becuase it is really hard to communicate with him. It would just be nice to have a conversation with him.

It's Going Around!

So the Christmas pukes are going around. This is how it started at my house. Feel free to add your name to the list.
Aiden
Jacob
Kaedyn
Kaedyn's Uncle
Becca
Cooper
Addy
Matt
Soby-yes she even puked once
Aunt Amy
Kylie-I don't know if she got it from Matt or Tamara's friend.
Janiel/Jacob
Matts dad, and two brothers
My mom

Yes, I am happy to say that my name hasn't made the sick list. The great part about daycare is I am immune to everything. I hardly ever get sick-other than when I am pregnant. Knock on wood!
At one point almost ever kid in my daycare had the 24 hour flu. Just one bad day of puking and than your better. However cleaning up puke for two days (Aiden and Jake) grossed me and Matt out. Matt and Aiden did get a flu shot but I didn't. Weird huh. The only good part is that it is gone almost as quick as it comes. Hang in their Amy!

Santa

2007

2008

You can tell they loved it!

This years visit to Santa actually went better than I thought it would. Last year Jake screamed and was terrified of Santa. Then after he got down from his lap he was given a candy cane and he through it. He wanted nothing to do with Santa or the cute little elves helpers. This year he managed to hold on his candy cane and didn't cry. The pictures say the rest. I have put up all our decorations and I am surprised how well the kids are at leaving the decorations alone. While watching 7-8 kids everyday I thought it might be more than I could handle. I had one miss hap where Jake pulled on the lights above my fireplace and the whole line of garland, ordiments, stocking hooks, and pine cones came crashing down. Only a few ordiments were broken and one of the hooks did break but wasn't a big deal. Aiden pulled down one ornament and gave it to Soby and she must have thought it was a ball and went to town chewing on it-so that one was ruined. But other than that it has been good. I figured that with the amount of kids I watch something was bound to get broken-yet I still have the rest of the month. I did have the kids presents under the tree but I had to move them because the toddlers were trying to open them.

Aiden has been under the weather. He has had the nastiest nose. It is constantly slimy and when he sneezes it isn't pretty. He threw up a bunch of times tonight it just broke my heart because I couldn't do anything for him. I gave him some applesauce and that came right up. Yuck! Having the daycare in my home has made me such a healthy person. I am hardly ever sick. I guess being around the germs all day long, builds up my immune system. Matt on the other had is around the germs long enough to catch everything. I feel so bad for him. I hate it when he is sick. I am just crossing my fingers that none of us are sick for Christmas.

Last week Matt and his family celebrated my birthday by going to Chuckarama and seeing the lights on temple square. It was a lot of fun. We rode the tracks and Jake loved that. Matt bought me flowers and I will have to post them later. They look so cool. They look like it is windy. I don't know how to describe them. It was so nice to get out and not have to cook. It was also fun to be with Matts family.

Remember This?

When I was a kid we loved Mickey mouse. My mom would record them on a vcr and we would watch them over and over. I found some video clips off of youtube that really brought back memories from when I was little. The funny thing is Matt and I must have watched the same videos because he remembers all the ones that I watched. Let me know if you watched any of them. Some of them are long so this is something you have to do when you want to blow some time. Enjoy!

Dare Devil

View Blog

Now most parents would freak out if they saw their baby pulling off this stunt. Matt and I don't because this is Aiden's normal routine. Every time we put him in his high chair he wants out. I have straps but don't use them because he cries and screams and tries to wiggle out so it's not worth it. Needless to say he has only fallen about 2 times and once even managed to climb down all by himself. He must be following his dad and Jacobs steps because I am not a dare devil.
Yes I know his hair is getting long. I have trimmed his bangs but hesitate to cut it because he wont look like a baby anymore. I gotta hold on to my baby as long as I can:)
