Aiden has learned how to crawl. Actually its more like scooting but the same concept. A few weeks ago we were visiting Matts family and Aiden was lying on his belly. A few minutes went by and all of a sudden he was sitting. I couldn't figure out how he did that because I have never seen him sit on his own. Well I have discovered his little trick. Basically he get up on his toes and then scoots his little bootee underneath him. I think it is so cleaver. He has mastered the army crawl and basically can get to anywhere he wants. So poor mommy has to be on the look out. Aiden also has his first two bottom teeth. He has also said his first word. Ma Ma! I love it when he saids it. Mabey he will call me ma ma instead of Teresa. For those who don't know Jake calls me Teresa (my daycare kids call me that so Jake picked it up from them) and he calls Matt Ma Ma. I think it is very funny.

Kayak Trip on San Rafael River
Last Saturday the kids spend the day at Vaylene and Jordans place so we could go with Matt's Uncle Charles and cousins (Quinn and Clarice) on a kayak trip down to the San Rafael river. We thought we would only be gone for the afternoon but the trip took much longer than we anticipated. We didn't get back to Provo until 1:00 a.m. The entire trip ended up being 17 miles of flat water! After the first 3 hours floating down the river I was getting worried because I didn't know if I was capable of patting the entire 17 mile stretch. And once you are on the river you can't just bail and get out. You are committed to the river because you are seriously in the middle of nowhere. I was very thankful that his cousin wanted to try kayaking so I was able to rest in the canoe the last half of the trip. Our boats are made for white water, so taking them on flat water took a lot of upper body work. The water was also very slow and very shallow. Our boats kept scrapping the bottom of the river on rocks, and it wasn't deep enough to roll (as if we would get flipped):) The deepest it got was about 2 feet. It was a beautiful nice day to be outside though and it was nice to have a break from the kids. As you can see from the pictures the cliffs were amazing.

That is too cute!!! Your video made me giggle!! I wish Bailey would sit by herself. She would rather lay and roll around. I can't decide if she is lazy or what. Oh well, she'll get it one of these days!! She has started to master the whole army crawl thing too. She has been "crawling" for a couple of weeks now! I know what you mean about having to watch out!! You're always on the look out for a kid under your feet!! Oh the joys of motherhood!! Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!!
I don't think he ever sat up for me but he defintally crawled alot. He kept trying to go for a ball and once he touched it with his fingertips it would roll away. It was funny to watch. He never really got it so I trapped it in a corner for him :) what a great aunt i am.
I tagged you again!! Check out my blog for details!! Love ya!
