Doctors Apt.

Friday Jake and Aiden had their doctors appointment. It couldn't have gone worse. The physician assistant who saw them was so concerned about her fashion that she forgot to tell Mat that Aiden had a double ear infection. All she said was she was giving him a prescription to numb his ears because they look red. She also wrote a prescription for his eczema. She also thinks he is malnourished. He poops 1-2 times a day, eats breakfast, and lunch really well. The only meal he doesn't do very good at is dinner. He is not malnourished. He was 50% on his weight at his 12 month visit, and as soon as he started to walk all his fat from his legs came off. He is just super active. And he comes from parents who are both thin. So Matt gave me the prescriptions and told me what she said. I didn't fill the prescriptions until after the weekend because our weekend was so busy and I figured that skin cream and ear numbing drops wasn't critically important. -she said that Aidens ears were a little red, and the drops for when he was fussy. When I picked them up on Monday I saw a bottle of amoxacillin and just about freaked out. So then I had to wait until the next day to check with the doctors to make sure that this was what Aiden needed. I didn't remember reading anything about amoxacillin on the prescriptions that she gave Matt. Matt said that she didn't say anything about a double ear infection. So the whole time I thought Aiden was crying for his bottle (we are weaning him from the bottle) he was crying because his ears hurt. My poor baby!

Then theirs issues with Jake. She thinks that Jake has hearing problems. So we have to go back to the doctor on Friday and test his hearing. I don't think that he has hearing problems because he understands almost everything I say to him. He also can follow directions perfically find. If he had a hearing problem he wouldn't be able to do this. He is supposed to be able to say at least 100 words, well I have been keeping track and I am at 90. I really just think that it is his stubbornness. How come he can say Teresa, but he can't say the word tree? It is because he is sooooo stubborn! He chooses what words he wants to learn. The other day I was pushing him on the swing and I spent 10 minutes teaching him the word push. He finally said it. It sounds like bus but its better than him saying "Teresa, I want ma ma ma more." Matt also told the physician assistant that Jake is sensitive in his private parts. He does not like to be touched in that area. She kept looking at him like some kind of sex perv, Matt asked her a question and she totally ignored him. It didn't help that Matt didn't know all the answers to her bazillion questions. She made him feel like a really bad dad. Not only that she made me feel terrible because she thinks I am malnourished my baby. I really should have taken them. Looks like this will be the last time we will go to this lady. What a nightmare.
