Blond Moment!

Score Board
Matt: 1
Teresa: 5000

I have finally witnessed that Matt has blond moments too. I am not a true blond, but I have many "ditsy" or so called blond moments that just amaze Matt. So the other day I became a witness to a blond moment that Matt had.

For 2 days Matt thought that the cars transmission was going out because he couldn't get the button to press down (on the stick)to switch from park to drive and so on. We seriously thought that we were going to have to get a new transmission. At work he almost got stuck but somehow managed to get it to shift into drive. Later he figured out though if he pushed the button when the key was pressed in then he could get it to press down. Two days later he confessed that he didn't have the brake pushed in and that's why it wasn't working!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHHA

Sorry Matt this is probley the first silliest thing you have done since we have been married. Normally its me pulling these stunts. I guess it just proves that all of us are human and we have our moments. Love Ya!

Doctors Apt.

Friday Jake and Aiden had their doctors appointment. It couldn't have gone worse. The physician assistant who saw them was so concerned about her fashion that she forgot to tell Mat that Aiden had a double ear infection. All she said was she was giving him a prescription to numb his ears because they look red. She also wrote a prescription for his eczema. She also thinks he is malnourished. He poops 1-2 times a day, eats breakfast, and lunch really well. The only meal he doesn't do very good at is dinner. He is not malnourished. He was 50% on his weight at his 12 month visit, and as soon as he started to walk all his fat from his legs came off. He is just super active. And he comes from parents who are both thin. So Matt gave me the prescriptions and told me what she said. I didn't fill the prescriptions until after the weekend because our weekend was so busy and I figured that skin cream and ear numbing drops wasn't critically important. -she said that Aidens ears were a little red, and the drops for when he was fussy. When I picked them up on Monday I saw a bottle of amoxacillin and just about freaked out. So then I had to wait until the next day to check with the doctors to make sure that this was what Aiden needed. I didn't remember reading anything about amoxacillin on the prescriptions that she gave Matt. Matt said that she didn't say anything about a double ear infection. So the whole time I thought Aiden was crying for his bottle (we are weaning him from the bottle) he was crying because his ears hurt. My poor baby!

Then theirs issues with Jake. She thinks that Jake has hearing problems. So we have to go back to the doctor on Friday and test his hearing. I don't think that he has hearing problems because he understands almost everything I say to him. He also can follow directions perfically find. If he had a hearing problem he wouldn't be able to do this. He is supposed to be able to say at least 100 words, well I have been keeping track and I am at 90. I really just think that it is his stubbornness. How come he can say Teresa, but he can't say the word tree? It is because he is sooooo stubborn! He chooses what words he wants to learn. The other day I was pushing him on the swing and I spent 10 minutes teaching him the word push. He finally said it. It sounds like bus but its better than him saying "Teresa, I want ma ma ma more." Matt also told the physician assistant that Jake is sensitive in his private parts. He does not like to be touched in that area. She kept looking at him like some kind of sex perv, Matt asked her a question and she totally ignored him. It didn't help that Matt didn't know all the answers to her bazillion questions. She made him feel like a really bad dad. Not only that she made me feel terrible because she thinks I am malnourished my baby. I really should have taken them. Looks like this will be the last time we will go to this lady. What a nightmare.

Funny Story

Yesterday I was washing dishes and told Jake to go get his underwear on so that we could go to the store. He vanished and came back holding up a pair of pants. I said "no, those are pants, go get your underwear." He said "OHHH" 5 minutes later he came back wearing pants so I figured he was going 'easy breasy' down in that area. At the store I noticed that there was some white material bunched up by his waist line. He was wearing grandma Olsen's new jogging pants, and they were a little big so I just thought that it was the linning of the pants. Later that day Jake pulled down his pants and thats when I realized that he was wearing Matts briefs (that he wears when he goes and works out). Of course they were giantic on him. The only thing keeping them up were his pants. Matt and I had a good laugh out of this one. Sorry no picture on this one!

No More Battle Wounds!

Just when I think that Aiden is in a safe place he manages to get hurt. So this time I was taking a shower with him and he was on the floor of the shower playing with the soap. Then he puts his finger down the shower drain and when he pulled it out started to scream. Blood was everywhere! Good place to be when theirs blood. The cut is actually big but we really don't want to have to pay another $900 doctor bill. So we bandaged it and then Aiden kept sucking it off so it would bleed all over again. Being a frustrated mom I bandaged it and then wrapped his fist with bandage tape so it looked like he had a boxing glove on. He wasn't liking his hand being taped into a fist so Matt and I taped his two fingers together so that he could at least have a thumb. Of course this happened right before church so we were late. If I can just keep him from sucking off the bandage I think that it will be okay. He also learned a new word. "Ow" he kept saying it over and over again. So far he can say, Hi, Ma Ma, Ow-(like ouch) and Ooo. Who would of thought that a shower drain could be dangerous?

Oh yes, and today is Jakes Birthday. I will post all the details later.

Any Resemblance?

Every time Matt goes into the gas station to pay for gas he sees this sign and thinks this is Vaylene's twin. Good thing she doesn't drink beer or she might have a problem. P.S love the earrings.

Hair Cut

I always procrastinate getting my kids hair cut because it takes away his baby face. They go from looking like a little baby to a big boy. Well I was at the store the other day and someone commented on how nice it was that I had a boy and a girl. So the next day I whacked it off. I took off like three inches!

BEFORE:

AFTER
It still makes me sad when I look at his before pictures. I love the one where he is posing like a model in his highchair. What do you guys think-does he still look like an Olsen? I think so.
